Oslo Marathon route: what you run through
Oslo Marathon is known for its flat, spectacular route through the city's most iconic locations. From Oslo Spektrum you run along the Oslofjord toward Aker Brygge, through Frogner and into Frognerparken past Vigeland sculpture park. With only approximately 80 metres of total elevation gain, it is one of Norway's flattest city marathons.
Oslo Spektrum → City Hall
Flat start through the city centre, past Oslo City Hall and Aker Brygge along the harbour.
Aker Brygge → Bygdøy
Along the Oslofjord toward Bygdøy peninsula. Stunning harbour views.
Bygdøy → Frogner
Back along the waterfront, through the Frogner neighbourhood and into Frognerparken.
Frognerparken → return
The only moderate hill is in the park. The rest is flat road back toward the city.
Return to city centre
Flat, direct run back to Oslo Spektrum finish. Final 1km is the spectator straight.

Getting to Oslo Spektrum on race day
Oslo Spektrum is a 5-min walk from Oslo S (Central Station). Take any T-bane line or regional train to Oslo S (Jernbanetorget). From Oslo Airport (OSL): Airport Express to Oslo S, 20 min.
Not recommended on race day — parking is limited and roads around the course are closed. Public transport is the practical option.
