SATS Røa is a gym with a sauna in west Oslo. It has no swimming pool. Røabadet sits in the neighbourhood, but it is a separate facility with its own membership, and a SATS membership does not get you in.

Correction: we were wrong about the pool

This page used to say that the pool at Røa was a SATS facility and that a SATS membership got you a swim. It does not. No SATS club in Norway has a swimming pool, and the Røa club page on sats.no lists a sauna and no pool. Røabadet is a separate facility with its own membership. We have rewritten the page rather than patched the number.

Two facilities, two memberships

Røa has both SATS Røa and Røabadet, and the two get confused constantly because they sit close together. SATS Røa is the gym: strength training, group classes and a sauna. Røabadet is the bath, and it is a separate facility with its own membership. It does not take drop-ins and publishes no prices, so you cannot simply turn up with swim shorts and pay at the door.

The practical consequence: if you join SATS Røa in order to swim, you have bought the wrong product. If you want to swim regularly in west Oslo without arranging a Røabadet membership, a municipal pool is the answer.

Does SATS Røa have a swimming pool?

No. The Røa club page on sats.no lists a sauna in its facility list and no pool. This is not specific to Røa: no SATS club in Norway has a swimming pool. Solix has previously said otherwise, and that was wrong.

What is Røabadet, and does a SATS membership get me in?

Røabadet is a separate facility in the neighbourhood, not a SATS facility. It has its own membership, does not take drop-ins and publishes no prices. A SATS membership gets you nothing there. If you want to use Røabadet, you have to contact them directly about membership.

Does SATS Røa have a sauna?

Yes. A sauna is listed in the facility list for Røa on sats.no. The sauna is a facility at the individual club rather than an add-on you buy, so you pay nothing extra for it. In Oslo a sauna is also confirmed at 15 Oslo clubs, among them Colosseum, Bislett, Storo and Solli Plass. SATS Nydalen does not have one.

How much does SATS Røa cost?

SATS sets the price per club and calculates it at checkout, so there is no official price list for Røa on its own. The Oslo level, read off sats.no in July 2026, is Basic 839 NOK/month, Flexible 849 NOK/month and Premium 999 NOK/month. There is a 12-month contract after the free period, and students aged 18 and over get 20 percent off, so from 671 NOK/month.

Where can I swim in west Oslo then?

Not at a gym. None of the large chains in Oslo, SATS included, has a pool. Swimming in Oslo means a municipal pool, for example Tøyenbadet, where adult entry is 175 NOK with the sauna included.
