Swimming in Bergen
Bergen has six public swimming options: AdO Arena with its 50-metre pool, and five municipal swimming halls. An adult ticket is 145 NOK at the municipal pools and 180 NOK at AdO on weekdays. AdO Arena: the city’s 50-metre pool
AdO Arena sits at Lungegårdskaien 40 and is Norway’s main centre for swimming and diving. adoarena.no describes the pool as a 50-metre pool of high international standard. Its prices vary by day and time of day, and that variation is what decides where you should swim.

Bergen municipality’s five swimming halls
The five municipal halls share one ticket price, but their public-swimming hours are short and entirely different. Several open for only one day a week. Schools and clubs have priority, so check the day before you travel.

Where should you swim?
If you can swim midday on a weekday, AdO Arena is both cheapest and best: 90 NOK for an adult against 145 NOK at the municipal pools, and you get the 50-metre pool. For evenings or weekends, the municipal halls are cheaper per ticket, but their hours are short. If you swim often, the municipal annual card at 5100 NOK beats AdO’s 6700 NOK, and the municipal 12-clip card at 1400 NOK beats AdO’s 1890 NOK.
